Key Features - SC P5000 Large Format Printer
Amazing Print Quality
The Epson SC P5000 Printer STD Spectro is a high-quality printing device. Moreover, it uses a TFP (Thin Film Piezo) print head with VSDT (Variable Sized Droplet Technology) to produce ultra-high-resolution prints with consistent and predictable output. The TFP head has a resolution of 2880×1440 dpi, which is capable of producing extremely detailed and accurate prints.
Supreme Colour - Epson P5000 Ink
The 10-color Epson SC P5000 Ink, which offers a high Dmax and wide color gamut, allows users to configure it with either Light Light Black for 98% PANTONE-certified coverage or Violet for 99% coverage. Consequently, this enables the production of gallery-quality black-and-white images by seamlessly switching between photo and matte ink for various media types.
Easy to Use
The prints dry quickly, becoming water and scratch-resistant, and exhibit excellent light fastness for extended storage. The spindle-less roll media loading feature facilitates easy setup and media changes. Simultaneously, the heavy-duty auto-cutter trims printed media to the desired length. Users can navigate printer settings and access resources through the color LCD control panel with integrated help. The flexible high-speed interfacing feature also enables the printer to connect to computers or other devices using various interfaces, such as USB or Ethernet, for rapid data transfer.

Supreme Imaging
The SureColor Prographics range is a line of high-quality, professional printers designed for printing photographic and fine art prints, as well as color proofs. These printers use Epson’s Thin Film MicroPiezo (TFP) head technology. Consequently, this technology utilizes an electro-mechanical movement to create prints with a maximum resolution of 2880×1440 dpi. This technology is renowned for its gentleness to ink chemistry, energy efficiency, and durability, in contrast to competing technologies that rely on heat. The P5000 model in the SureColor Prographics range features a 10-channel head with an advanced look-up table (LUT). Additionally, it includes an 11-cartridge supply system with automatic matte/photo black switching to optimize the dynamic range on different media types. The printer also incorporates variable-size droplet technology (VSDT) to enhance image quality and minimize ink consumption.
The water-based, all-pigment UltraChrome HDX ink used in the SureColor Prographics line creates prints with a wide color gamut. Additionally, it delivers exceptional water and scratch resistance. To improve picture quality and stability, the HDX set contains new matte and photo black formulations. Additionally, it includes light black, bright magenta, orange, and green inks. Users can configure the printer with either violet ink for packaging and proofing or light black ink for photos and fine artwork.
The SureColor P range is calibrated during assembly to ensure consistent color reproduction from printer to printer. The ink has a color constancy level of less than DeltaE 1.0. This means that prints will remain visually consistent under different lighting conditions. An optional spectrophotometer, the SpectroProofer, is available for these printers. Developed in collaboration with X-Rite, the SpectroProofer provides highly accurate measurements. This capability enables precision proofing and automation of color management in workflow processes. The ILS 30 SpectroProofer can be mounted directly to the printer and includes selectable UV filtering.
